The Oulu Art Museum is a northern museum of contemporary art and is here for you. We believe everybody has the right to experience art in their own personal way. Contemporary art opens new perspectives to current phenomena. At the museum, everyone can be the artist. A museum visit can be combined with many different curriculum subjects.

As a teacher, you are responsible for your group throughout the visit. Exhibition tours, hands-on tours and art workshops are subject to a fee.

Teachers can visit the exhibition free of charge in advance after making a group reservation at the customer service desk. Students must contact the museum’s customer service in advance of any independent visit without a teacher.

Exhibitions frequently feature art education materials that are available for use during the visit. The content of the Muksuboksi activity boxes for early childhood education and primary schools can also be accessed online in advance. We regularly organise events to inform teachers about the exhibitions and their related materials.
