The year starts with forest-themed exhibitions featuring contemporary jewellery and collection works focusing on the forest. A broad range and richness of form and colour is explored in an activity-based exhibition of abstract art from museum’s own collections. In the spring, exhibitions focus on colourful encounters with contemporary art, arts and crafts and Sami handicrafts. The year ends with a solo exhibition of the life’s work of the Oulu woodcutter Antti Holma.

AGF: kuu-tee listening sessions
2025
We will continue to develop our programme around community-based, sustainable exhibition production. We continue our listening sessions with our partner AGF, Antye Greie-Ripatti (b. 1969 Ebersbarch, lives in Hailuoto). The themes of the sessions arise from dissonance, disagreement and dissent.
