The placement process starts when the client contacts the curator. How long the process takes varies depending on the number of works to be placed and their condition.
The museum’s art placements are managed by a workgroup that includes a curator, a conservator, museum technicians and a digital documentation specialist. In addition to preparing and hanging works for fixed-term placement, the team also handles the collection, transfer and protection of works displayed within the organisation. The customer should contact the art museum in good time about any changes in their organisation’s premises that involve the handling of artworks that belong to the city’s art collection.
Written agreements will be made on the placement, collection and transfer of works of art from the city’s collections, specifying the terms and conditions, responsibilities and total costs of the operation.
